OUR SCHOOL VALUES AND BELIEFS

Urenui School Values are actively taught daily in all classes.  We encourage parents to talk to their child/ren to reinforce these out of school.  Reminders will be in our newsletters to support this.

Our school values are based around building

RICH RELATIONSHIPS

The Values are:

Respect

Responsibility

Resilience

Principles:

Urenui School’s principles are represented by its logo.

The main tree of the logo represents the child (learner). The child will only flourish with the right ‘feeding’. The roots are what we instill into our ‘child’ (learner).

These are the: Curriculum, Community, Values , Iwi, Shared Goals and Fun.

Having this common understanding will help our child (learner) to grow.

The koru at the top of the logo represent the characters or the skills that we want our ‘child’ (learner) to leave Urenui School with.

‘Knowledge’, ‘Communication, and ‘Social Skills’, as an ongoing ‘Learner’, to have ‘Respect’ for others and themselves and finally being a ‘Responsible’ person in all aspects of their lives.

Instilling these in our children while they are at Urenui School will make them successful in whatever they strive to do.
